Project background
The desire to understand nature and its laws is a
never ending quest for human beings.
It is the pursuit of this quest that leads to significant breakthroughs
in science and technology, which in turn make their way into
real-world applications, and ultimately improve the
quality of our lives.
Breakthoughs are the result of diligent research, deep thought,
flashes of inspiration, and more often than not, a little luck.
Graduate programs in schools are often the starting point for
producing such researchers.
However, financial constraints often make it difficult for students to
pursue higher studies. Consequently, financial assistance can play a significant role
in determining whether a student pursues higher studies.
The goal of GKF is to encourage students to enter graduate programs,
by making financial assistance available to them through
fellowships.
Project description
The Electrical Engineering Program at UCLA is very highly rated and carries out
leading edge research in several areas.
GKF has established a Fellowship that will support
research in the areas of circuits, signal processing and embedded systems
within this department.
