Sevalaya
Organization background

Since 1988, Sevalaya, a charitable organization in India, has been running a destitute children's Home, and a free unaided school for the children at the Home and the surrounding villages. They also run a free medical center, craft center, and library; a goshala to shelter dry and milk yielding cows; and an old age home for destitute senior citizens. The campus is spread out over 14 acres, with a primary and secondary school building; a computer lab with more than 50 computers; library with more than 15,000 books; playground; science labs; and a kitchen that can cook for more than 300 people at a time. In addition, they help the neighbouring community by conducting self-help classes (sewing, computer) and have a mobile library that goes to the villages and loans books to people.
