Seva Chakkara Samajam
Organization background

Seva Chakkara Samajam is an orphanage in Choolai, Chennai, which has been in existence for 25 years. They own two buildings -- one houses a primary school, computer lab, and office and the other is where the children stay. The orphanage conducts classes from pre-K to class 5, but for other classes the children are sent to private schools nearby. There are also some students who go to professional colleges.

Project background

There are presently 116 children in the orphanage (67 girls, 49 boys) and 60 additional beneficiaries of the orphanage. SCS does not receive government support.
