Organization background
Seva Chakra Samajam is an orphanage in Choolai, Chennai. It has around 100 orphans and has been in existence for 23 years. They occupy two buildings, one of which they own (this houses primary school, computer lab, office), and one of which they rent (this is where the children and founder/residents stay). There are 55 boys and 45 girls are present. The orphanage conducts classes from pre-K to class 4, but for other classes the children are sent to private schools nearby. There are also some students who go to professional colleges.

Project background
The older children attend various local private schools in the vicinity of the orphanage. In order to facilitate their travel to their respective schools, the orphanage wants to buy a school bus. They are soliciting funds for this purchase.

Project description
The project is to help the orphanage buy a school bus. GKF will pick up most of the cost associated with buying the bus.
