Project background
As a community cultural service provider,
the Tilles Center has traditionally
provided cultural programming that caters to the demographics of the region.
In an effort to serve the interests of Long Island's diverse demographics, the Tilles center
features performances from world-class artists in various genres.
To address
Long Island's growing Asian-indian population (as of 2021, they represented 8% of the island's population),
a few performances are focused on Indian
traditional art forms and culture.
