Project background
CityParks Learn Coastal Classroom is a free after-school and
summertime coastal ecology and environmental education program that
transforms New York City's waterfront parks into sites for
hands-on, experiential learning for the city's most
under-resourced youngsters. The objective of the program is to
provide STEM education among under-resourced children,
while developing an enduring interest and desire to become the
next generation of marine & environmental scientists by
caring for NYC's shorelines and waterways.
