address the educational needs of underprivileged children in the urban slums.
These are generally first generation learners who will be
contributing to improve the quality of life and standard of
living for their families in future.
Balamandir runs 3 educational projects
- Daycare centre for pre-kindergarten children
- Vidyalaya - an English medium nursery and primary school
- Satyamurti high school (partially supported by the Tamilnadu government)
At all these schools, children are provided with food (breakfast and a mid-day meal),
and also with books and other school supplies.
