Organization background

Since 2002, Sri Arunodayam Charitable Trust (Arunodayam) has been rescuing intellectually disabled children, who have been abandoned by their families and providing them with a safe and nurturing environment along with nutritious food, medical care, education, physiotherapy & vocational training.

Project Background

Arunodayam's Special Education Program is designed specifically for such children with intellectual disabilities. Teachers develop Individualized Education Programs (IEP) based on each student’s needs while rehabilitation staff members such as caregivers, social workers, psychologists, occupational & physical therapists and special education teachers take a holistic approach to improve their self esteem, independence and quality of life.

• 2021,2022,2023: Funding to cover the salaries of special educators and caregivers.
