Aum Pranava Ashram
Organization background

Since 1998, Aum Pranava Ashram (APA). has been providing food, shelter, and education to poor orphaned children, and food & shelter to the elderly and handicapped. The ashram is located in Ilanji, near Tenkasi, India. They promote a holistic lifestyle, with community service activities, spiritual awareness and yoga classes, and farming and agricultural activities, and also run a Goshala. The children attend local schools near their cottages, and are transported by school buses owned by the ashram.

Project background

The organization relies on donations for its operating expenses. They want to build a new 5000 sqft building to house the elderly and build a compound wall around the ashram. They also want to replace their van, which is used to transport the children to their schools.
