AIM for Seva
Organization background

All India Movement For Seva (AFS)'s primary mission is to improve the condition of disadvantaged children and their families. For this, they offer free residential homes for impoverished students; free schools; free or subsidized healthcare; support for people with special needs; and female empowerment programs. As of 2021, AFS runs more than 136 projects in 16 Indian states and 2,300 villages.

Project background
Children in rural India face significant barriers including poverty; inaccessible schools; poor quality education and living with families who do not prioritize education. To address the problem of inaccessible schools, AFS runs several hostels located near schools in rural areas. Children stay in these hostels and attend local schools. In addition, AFS takes a holistic approach to their development by providing them with access to health care and programs that foster creativity and cultural awareness. This ensures that these underprivileged children receive a quality education while growing into healthy, responsible and confident individuals.
